My parents and grandparents keep telling me I need to vote, but sometimes it all seems so pointless. Please tell me why I should vote!

Hi Friend,

I can definitely understand your perspective.  Voting can seem pointless, but every vote matters because it’s your way to be heard.  It’s your voice, and if everyone voted change would come.  When we are shy with our vote and our voices, and being told that it doesn’t matter because it was going to happen that way anyway, is simply just not true. One vote can be a deciding factor, or a couple hundred or a couple thousand, depending on the size of your county, state, or this nation. You don’t know unless you do it. I know the state of the world, especially in the U.S., is heavy and that times can feel like voting doesn’t matter because we’re already in a bad season of bad episode.

That’s why your vote matters now more than ever. This is like the midseason finale. This is where things can change and possibly get better or can get worse, but that’s why you have to vote. That’s why you have to use your voice and be heard! Don’t let the feeling of pointlessness stop you from making a choice because when you don’t do anything, that’s just as bad. If nothing else, you did it just to make your voice be heard and you got to at least weigh in and put your ballot in. I encourage you to listen to the wisdom of your parents and your grandparents and use your voice be heard! GO VOTE!!!!
